Giorgia Iacopini
Giorgia Iacopini recently joined the Tavistock Institute in September 2009 as a Researcher and Consultant.
Prior to joining the Institute, Giorgia worked as a Researcher at the New Local Government Network (NLGN), a think tank which aims to develop solutions to the key public policy challenges faced by local councils, their leaders and their partners. At NLGN, Giorgia has undertaken research projects which covered a variety of policy areas including the local environment, worklessness, social care services and local democracy.

Previously, Giorgia worked as a junior researcher for CERFE, an international social research institute in Rome, Italy. She collaborated on action-research projects which included a study on the relationship between migration and knowledge economy and a comparative analysis of family friendly policies.
Giorgia has also worked as a Housing Strategy officer for Westminster City Council where she collaborated on setting up the Council's independent Housing Commission and on developing the Commission's recommendations into strategic policy guidelines for the new Housing Strategy. Giorgia also worked at Greenwich Council collaborating on the preparation of the Mental Health and Housing Strategy.
Giorgia has an MA in Political Studies and International Relations and an MSc in Social and Political Theory from the University of Edinburgh.
