Josina Moltesen, M.Sc., B.Sc.
Josina Moltesen recently joined the Tavistock Institute in January 2010 as a researcher/consultant. Josina's experience and expertise is in policy analyses and evaluations for the European Commission (DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, DG Education and Culture, DG Enterprise) and the Danish Government (Ministry of Employment, Ministry of Education and Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority). Josina has worked extensively with labour market policy, education policy and information society as a researcher/consultant for the Danish Technological Institute (DTI).
Josina has a particular interest in issues pertaining to the labour market, welfare state systems, and integration of young and/or vulnerable groups in the labour market, Information Society and education. Recent assignments has included studies on flexicurity across Europe, Public Employment Services, anticipation of future skills needs, global sourcing and retention of vulnerable students in Vocational Education and Training (VET) deploying a range of qualitative and quantitative methods. Josina is particularly interested in comparative approaches to policy analysis in a European setting.
With the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Social Democrats as former employers, Josina is used to working in and with political organisations. Josina is skilled in dissemination and media communication having previously edited a website for the Danish Ministry of Education, contributed to government action plans, writing policy proposals and articles for newspapers.
Josina's academic background is firmly rooted within political science with master degrees from London School of Economics (2006) and University of Copenhagen (2007) as well as a bachelor degree from University of Copenhagen (2004). In 2005, Josina taught comparative politics at the University of Copenhagen.
