Professional Development Co-ordinator
Rachel Kelly
In my role I bring together a comprehensive management and coordination of the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations' (TIHR) professional development courses, conferences, events and workshops.
Underlying all of the work of TIHR is a commitment to the dissemination of our ongoing ideas, theories and methodologies and to life-long learning and professional development. Therefore, in conjunction with our research, evaluation and consultancy offers, and stemming from these, we also offer a range of public professional development programmes and courses, including:
- Leicester conference: Authority * Role * Organisation, our annual group relations conference
- Certificate in Coaching for Leadership and Professional Development course
- P3C Practitioner Certificate in Consulting and Change programme
- The Tavistock Study Groups
When I am not co-ordinating these, I teach The Alexander Technique: this method is taught on a one-to-one basis and, amongst other things, is fundamentally about rediscovering the balance of your mind / body through mindfulness (www.stat.org.uk). I now also lead the Yoga Event in the Leicester conference and am in the process of developing my knowledge and practice of this ancient discipline.
Writing about how group relations, administration, the Alexander Technique and Yoga interconnect is one of my current core interests.
For an overview of how you can further your professional development using the most up-to-date Tavistock Institute methodologies, theories and practices, please email me or if you would like an informal chat about your requirements, please give me a ring:
