Coaching for Leadership and Professional Development

As part of our organisational consultancy provision, we provide coaching to managers and executives, both individually and as teams.

We work with coaching clients

• who are about to or have just engaged in a significant change of role or responsibilities
• who are tackling a major challenge
• or who are ‘stuck.’

We engage our clients in a discovery process that enables them to reframe their situations and, in so doing, to generate insights upon which they can draw to develop and apply new ways of working.

As in all of our work, our coaching is delivered by practitioners who are grounded in relevant organisational and psychological theory, and are also experienced in drawing upon theories and models in ways that engage and make sense to the particular client. We are eclectic in our ways of working, yet consistent in our dual emphasis on the coaching client’s performance and well-being, and the organisational context.

We offer coaching for individual and team leadership and for professional development; we do not offer ‘life coaching,’ although we do have clients who return to us from time to time, or who engage us at one point in time for coaching, and at another point in time for organisational consultancy or research.

The Institute also offers a certificated training course, Coaching for Leadership and Professional Development.

Additionally, the Institute has a longstanding tradition of Group Relations offers, including our foundational Leicester Conference, which enables individuals to experience leadership and followership in the context of a temporary learning organisation.
