Our Work
Tavistock Study Groups
We facilitate a series of small groups which address complex workplace issues using organisational role analysis.
Led by one of our Organisational Consultants, the dates are to be announced.
What are they?
The Tavistock Study Group consists of 4 -12 people who meet regularly to explore their own and others' issues in different work settings, using group relations methodology.
Who are they for?
For people facing change or challenges in their organisation and/or who have attended a Leicester or other group relations conference and wish to develop their learning from there.
What are the benefits?
- By listening to each other and sharing ideas, everyone gains a new perspective on their own work issues;
- By dedicating time to reflect on style and behaviour, people can gain a new sense of themselves in a group or work setting;
- By reflecting on the activity of the group and on organisational theory of group dynamics;
- A spin-off from this way of working is the development of interpersonal and consultancy skills;
- The opportunity to build a peer network for support and professional development.
Previous participants value the work study groups as:
- Space for the individual to think
- A contained place of safety
- An opportunity to study the role of a consultant
- A committed participant group
- A place to take risks that might shed light on issues at work
