Just imagine … coming to London each season, starting in Spring 2023. Four times, four days of intensive learning in very different ways. And in between seasons a meeting online. We explored who we are and what role art can play in being and working together in a temporary organisation. Deepening Creative Practice – seeing, hearing, feeling, meeting yourself and each other. Imagining and discovering inner and outer worlds; putting impressions to work.

Letting things emerge, themes grew organically - climate change, racism, inside/outside, death of creativity, movement, leadership, authority, group decisions, authenticity etc. Just as we thought we could make a step, something occurred and pulled us right back in the process of not grasping and letting things emerge. Taking a step back, sharing dreams and thoughts. Sculptures of paper and clay, body movements and voice stretching. Making curatorial suggestions and dancing around them, sometimes endlessly. Discussing and laughing; sighing, or saying nothing. Walking and wondering what we actually want. Doing fieldwork outside and listening deeply to what there is to hear.

What we take home. This course was a challenge and absolutely rich in variety. Students, staff and artists saying yes or no to various thoughts and topics. Adjusting the programme and taking a pause, carefully looking at words and phrases. Who are we and what can we create together? As humans, as organisations, as nations, as a whole. We shared an incredible year together and made a short movie: Kuråt - A devil’s creative practice, if you will. A dive into a world we did not know before, using our insights and talents. A co-production that provides us with material to cherish and chew on. And a backpack full of inspiration to take back home and to our workspaces.

Première with popcorn Do come and join us on Friday May 3rd when we take you on a unique DCP-tour – reflecting and sharing together. And of course there is the première, with popcorn and so on. That is, if you join us live. We’d love to meet you!
