…launched through a new partnership with the Social Dreaming International Network.
SDiN – Social Dreaming international Network, is an organisation born in 2019 whose task is of promoting, developing, researching and applying social dreaming in a variety of contexts. It was established by former trustees and founders of the Gordon Lawrence Foundation, after its closure. The organisation welcomed the unique opportunity to work with the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations (TIHR) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding, which recognises the international nature and the importance of partnerships for both organisations in promoting and developing social dreaming.
International Training for host of Social Dreaming
SDiN in partnership with TIHR and il Nodo Group is launching the second edition of the Social Dreaming training in Torino, Italy.
The aim is to offer a:
a space for experience
a reflecting space for the development of an emerging theory
an opportunity to think, to formulate hypothesis and to create an area of shared thinking within the community of Social Dreamers.
The current training is the fruit of a collective development inspired by the first training that Gordon Lawrence, Lilia Baglioni and Franca Fubini delivered in 2006/7 in Rome. The training consists of four modules distributed over one year. Each module will explore different aspects of SD and its application in the field.
Applicants must have experience of Social Dreaming programmes as participants and be familiar with the relevant SD literature.
The course design allows both the activation of the matrix and individual attention to each trainee, who will receive feedback from the consultants and from colleagues re: her/ his skills in hosting matrices.
Both the staff composition and the location of this training is unique. Participants are invited to consider it as an opportunity which might not be repeated.
On completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate of attendance and competence to host SD programmes by Social Dreaming International Network.
