The journal Evaluation is edited by Elliot Stern who is Professor of Evaluation Research at Lancaster University.

Elliot, who previously headed up a dedicated evaluation Unit at the Tavistock Institute, was also the founding President of the UK Evaluation Society and a past President of the European Evaluation Society. He is currently an Academician and Council member of the UK Academy of Social Sciences and still cooperates with the Tavistock Institute on specific evaluation assignments.
