Website

Entelechy Arts is a South-East London based charity working to enable marginalised groups and individuals to contribute to the creative lives of their local communities. They work particularly with isolated older people, those living with profound and multiple disabilities, and those living in care home environments. Their work is multidisciplinary and collaborative and focuses on the power of storytelling and human connection in their different forms.

Some of Entelechy’s recent and ongoing projects include their Ambient Jam- stimulating non-verbal and sensory forms of communication; and 21st Century Tea Dances- a multimedia contemporisation of the traditional tea dance format. They work on various projects which aim to connect isolated older people; and during the Coronavirus pandemic they pioneered various initiatives to explore the effects of distancing and to keep their participants creatively connected.

In 2023 Entelechy Arts was shortlisted for Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Award for Civic Arts Organisations.

Entelechy Arts are supported by Arts Council England and by Lewisham Council.
