The overall aim of this project was to evaluate the contribution of the Community Facilitation Programme (CFP) to improving community cohesion in particular regions in the UK.

We worked closely with stakeholders in these communities via a series of national, regional and local workshops.

The evaluation was a six month project with two phases:

  • Phase 1 was a scoping phase, identifying and mapping the projects that have been funded at regional level through the CFP.
  • Phase 2 involved case studies to explore some projects in more detail plus a cost effectiveness analysis of the whole programme.

The final report for this project was published by the then Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
