This report follows a request from DIUS to TIHR to carry out an evaluation of the UK Resource Centre for women (UKRC) in Science , Engineering and Technology (SET), focusing specifically on the centre’s work with women returners and employers.

This commission followed on from previous work carried out in this field: the evaluation framework for Science in Society initiatives and the pilot of this framework. Against this background, the main objective of this evaluation was to apply the evaluation framework to evaluating the work of the UKRC.
