Disembodied Relations at Work

Working virtually with groups. Covid-19 has forced many of us to work remotely...

A virtual conference for exploring the dynamics of working online during a pandemic.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 16 February – 17 March 2021

Covid-19 has forced many of us to work remotely. Several months on, we are learning that the reality of working online during a pandemic, exposes and amplifies relational dynamics that are already present in organisational and societal cultures.

It seems timely to examine these experiences, to explore in-depth the psychic reality of a pandemic-led shift to working online.

Group Relations Australia (GRA) is offering the opportunity to examine and explore the lived experiences of working online, to develop new capabilities for managing these experiences, and to experiment with new approaches for building more effective online working groups and teams where members can encounter each other more fully and productively.

The schedule is two-half days per week over 4.5 weeks. Participant numbers are limited to a maximum of 40 to enable in-depth study of group and interpersonal dynamics, the culture of an organisational system, and to provide focused individual role consultations. A team of international staff will facilitate participants’ learning.

An Early Bird discount is available up to 15 January and a group discount for organisations. A limited number of partial bursaries are available to those unable to get full financial backing from their employers or other sources. If you wish to be considered for a bursary, please indicate in the Application Form or email Caroline Farmer, Associate Director and Director Membership Engagement: conference@grouprelations.org.au.
