Group Relations Minifest – 13 April 2018

Registration has now closed due to high demand.

In response to high demand post the success of our 70th anniversary festival, we have found a wonderful opportunity to offer the first ‘minifest’ celebrating a new milestone for the Tavistock Institute for 2018:

After 20 years in the role of the Group Relations Programme Director of the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, Dr Mannie Sher stepped down from this role and handed it over to Dr Leslie Brissett on 2 January 2018.

We invite you to our Group Relations Minifest an all-day scientific meeting exploring Group Relations at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations on 13 April 2018, entitled: Learning for Leadership: Where to now?

The Minifest will be made up of an interesting mix of short papers by the departing and incoming directors of the Group Relations Programme. These presentations will be followed by facilitated group experiential events consistent with Tavistock group relations traditions; topped off with celebratory cocktails at the end of the day.

The Minifest is open to all who are interested in group relations (there is no charge, hence you will have to make your own arrangements for lunch).  The Minifest will be opened at 9.30am by Dr Eliat Aram, CEO of the Tavistock Institute, followed by the first talk by Dr Mannie Sher “Reflecting on Learning from 20 years as Director of the Group Relations Programme”. After a roundtable discussion and a break, the second talk will be given by Dr Leslie Brissett, the incoming Director of the Group Relations Programme “Needed now more than ever: Group Relations in the Digital Age”, followed by a second roundtable discussion. The afternoon will be taken up with experiential group sessions on the theme of “Integrating Flesh and Authority: the Body in Group Relations work”,  followed by a closing discussion, then drinks and a toast, ending at 6.00pm.

With warm greetings

Eliat
