New Year’s Greeting

New Year’s Greeting

A Happy New Year and best wishes and hopes...

A Happy New Year and best wishes and hopes for what this year will bring: to all our clients, colleagues, national and international partners and friends of the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations.

This year, we have chosen to support The Care Workers Charity, specifically their Mental Health Grant Appeal. Each day, up to 2 million care workers, personal assistants and support workers (to name a few) work with the most vulnerable members of society to help them live as independently as possible. This charity looks out for this amazing workforce and offers support if they experience an unexpected crisis.

The past year has been a difficult time for the entire adult social care workforce – the charity is launching a Social Care Day of Remembrance and Reflection in March dedicated to those working across the adult social care sector – starting with a Memorial and Thank You Walls to give people a safe space to remember the people we have sadly lost during pandemic. It is also designed to offer people much needed time to reflect on the vital work the social care sector has done to keep people safe and well.

Several members of our staff have or have had parents/grandparents in care homes and/or are or have been carers and so our pledge is meaningful in many ways.

Thank you for being with us in 2021 and here’s to another wonderful year together!
