This piece of work, commissioned by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), investigates the role played by the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in England in supporting parents, carers and families under the Every Child Matters (ECM) agenda.

This piece of work, commissioned by the Department for the then Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), investigates the role played by the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in England in supporting parents, carers and families under the Every Child Matters (ECM) agenda.

The purpose is to supply DCSF with information on the number and scope of relevant voluntary and community sector services in selected local authorities, how they meet the ECM agenda and how they work with other services designed to help parents and families, including those which support adult couple relationships.
