Alexandros Argyropoulos
Alexandros Argyropoulos is an experienced business consultant, coach, and group analyst, with a keen interest in psychodynamics, organizational development and international affairs. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Athens and has been a Fulbright scholar at the Fletcher School of International Relations, Tufts University, from which he received his Master’s degree.
He started his career in management, working for a number of multinational and Greek corporations, mainly aiming to help those organizations grow internationally. Fascinated by the psychological mechanisms that cause individuals, groups, and even nations to act in ways that contradict their stated purposes (and sometimes even defy common sense), he was subsequently trained in psychodynamics and group analysis. A business consultant and coach for over ten years, he has participated in a variety of leadership and organizational transformation projects; he also has his own group-analytic practice and teaches at the Athens franchise of the State University of New York (SUNY).
Alexandros was certified as supervisor consultant and coach by the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in 2020 and was appointed to its Board of Trustees in 2023. His passion continues to lie in bringing to light what is below the surface - beliefs, ideas, and emotions that hamper change; holding difficult but liberating conversations; and assisting people, groups, and organizations in making conscious decisions about their future.
