In this one-day workshop, Arts Practitioner and vocal artist Emily Kyte invites you to explore your own unique voice.

The workshop is designed for professionals who wish to explore how creative use of the voice can add to their toolkit for work.

Why

Our voice is a critical resource that we use in many areas of our working lives; in negotiations, conversations, or when leading or following others.  Understanding how to harness your voice, both physically and creatively, can help you to inhabit your role more flexibly and effectively.

What to expect

This one-day workshop will include opportunities to explore and access your breath control and vocal range; find new and creative ways to explore your voice; and reflect on essential questions about who you are and how your project your self to the world.

There will be opportunities to speak, sing, and play.

The day will culminate in a group sharing, giving you the chance to access your performative self.

What you will gain

  • An introduction to the voice and how it works.
  • An exploration of how you can access your unique voice, focusing on strength and softness, and how you might harness these qualities in the workplace.
  • A chance to connect and share experiences and ideas with a small group of other practitioners.
